As you enter the main bar area, you’re welcomed into a ‘cosy lounge’ with large wood burning stove, radiating heat from its open doors.

The bar area leads off into the Red Restaurant to one side and the large Tardis-like Function Room to the other – which always seems to be buzzing with activity!  In fact, this is where we hold our popular music events.

Serving an extensive British menu, head chef Louisa Weaver has put seasonality at the heart of her cooking. Louisa is particularly passionate about sourcing locally produced ingredients because of the flavour it brings to her dishes.

The bar stocks a good selection of beers on tap, and a wide range of wines to suite almost ever palate.

As the warm summer weather arrives, guests can enjoy a relaxing drink outside in the large beer garden, which is a real sun trap.  There’s also a children’s play area to keep the kids occupied.

The pub has a large car park so parking is never a worry.

For those that want to stay and enjoy everything this picturesque part of the country has to offer, there are a number of comfortable guest rooms available.

The The Kings Head Lower Horsebridge, is surrounded by many interesting places to visit including:

Eastbourne (just 20 minutes drive away)

Knockhatch Adventure Park

Drusillas Zoo

Herstmonceux Castle

Why not call in sometime?  We’d love to see you.

The Kings Head Lower Horsebridge, is (just outside Hailsham, East Sussex) about half a mile from the Boship Roundabout on the A271 heading East.
